Roger Malouf is Music Director and Conductor of the
West Side Opera, which this season
presents a performance of ORFEO ED EURIDICE. Mr. Malouf is
an Assistant Conductor at the Metropolitan Opera and is on the production staff
at New York City Opera. He is also Assistant Music Director of
the Natchez Opera Festival, and has served in this capacity with the Brooklyn
Lyric Opera and the West Coast Opera Theatre. As coach/accompanist, Mr. Malouf
has worked with Wiener Kammeroper and the Bayreuth Jugendfestspieltreffen, and
for over a decade at the University of Calfornia, Los Angeles. He has given
masterclasses in art song and opera as Visiting Professor at the University
of California, Santa Barbara and at Portland State University, and has played
for master classes given by Martina Arroyo, Anna Moffo, Gerard Souzay, and
Hakan Hagegard. Mr. Malouf has adjudicated for the Metropolitan Opera
Regional Auditions. He coaches privately in New York City.
