Wheeled walkers are useful for those who find it difficult to lift the walker while walking, and are available in various ways. Standard wheeled walkers are equipped with front wheels and standard rear legs. Also available are 4 wheel walkers which in addition to wheels on the rear, are equipped with a braking system that automatically engages when pressure is put down on the walker, in order to avoid accidental rolling. Other options of wheeled walkers consist of 3 or 4 wheeled rolators equipped with hand brakes and larger wheels for more stability, and rolling walkers with seats.
